Rich Fennessy is a successful Fortune 500 CEO with 25 years international management experience. He is currently the President and CEO of eInstruction Corporation, an established, private equity-owned technology company in the complex and growing global education industry. eInstruction operates in 60 countries designing, developing, and delivering interactive software and hardware solutions. The company provides educators, corporations, and governments with the critical ability to drive classroom engagement, measure achievement, and implement enhanced learning experiences. Prior to joining eInstruction, Mr. Fennessy was President and CEO of SocialWhirled, Inc., an early stage, social media-based technology company. He launched a worldwide social marketing and advertising platform in January 2011. Mr. Fennessy serves as SocialWhirled’s Chairman of the Board of Directors.
From 2004-2009, Mr. Fennessy was President and CEO of Insight Enterprises, Inc., a Fortune 500 global Information Technology solutions company with 5,500 employees and operations in 22 countries. During his tenure at Insight, Mr. Fennessy led the company to the Fortune 500. The company’s broad portfolio of hardware, software, and services targets small, medium, and large corporate- and public-sector institutions. Prior to joining Insight, Mr. Fennessy enjoyed a 17-year career with IBM, holding multiple senior-level executive positions, both domestically and internationally. His most recent position was General Manager of ibm.com, IBM’s worldwide web and telephony business, which operated in 83 countries. He managed and grew ibm.com into a $12 billion business.
Mr. Fennessy, originally from Michigan, is an active leader in local philanthropies, and holds a B.S. in Engineering from Michigan State University.
Tim Torno joined eInstruction in 2005. Mr. Torno provides overall financial, operational, and logistics leadership for the company. Mr. Torno has more than 24 years of experience as a CFO/VP of Finance in various manufacturing and distribution organizations. For 12 years, he was CFO of a publicly held technology company that grew from $20 million in sales to more than $200 million in sales. Mr. Torno's experience includes two successful public stock offerings and 25 mergers and acquisitions in 12 countries. He has led five successful computer implementations, including a SAP ERP installation. Mr. Torno previously spent nine years as an auditor for a "Big 5" firm, focusing on audit and tax, including SEC filings and M&A due diligence. Mr. Torno holds a B.S.B.A. from Texas A&M University, and an M.B.A. from University of Phoenix.
Samir Joglekar is responsible for providing overall sales leadership for K-12 education, higher education, federal, and government business units across the globe. Prior to eInstruction, Mr. Joglekar spent more than 10 years at Dell, where he was responsible for driving customer sales and account management for data center products, software, and services in North America and Western Europe. Mr. Joglekar also contributed at Apple Inc. in multiple roles. He focused on sales, business development, and technology evangelism. He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University and attended Johns Hopkins University for graduate studies in Bio-Medical Engineering.
Shelly Bodine is in charge of setting and executing eInstruction’s overall corporate marketing strategy. Mrs. Bodine brings to eInstruction more than 20 years’ experience in the technology industry, where she served in various executive leadership roles, including marketing, supply chain, mergers and acquisitions, IT integration, vendor relations, and operations. Prior to joining eInstruction, she worked in both the computer distribution and reseller communities. Most recently, Mrs. Bodine worked for Insight Enterprises, Inc., a Fortune 500 global reseller of IT hardware, software, and services. At Insight, she headed up the company’s Client Operations team. Before that, she served as VP of Procurement for Pinacor, a Fortune 500 computer distributor. At Minnesota State, Mankato, she earned B.S. degrees in Business Administration, Marketing and Textiles.
Lee Evans is responsible for all human resources functions, including recruiting, talent management, employee relations, and compensation and benefits. Ms. Evans has worked in the human resources field for 20 years, with experience in multi-unit management, both domestically and internationally. The majority of her career has been in the service industry focusing on hospitality and shared services for a Fortune 500 company. Ms. Evans earned B.A. and M.S. degrees from the University of Mississippi in Oxford. She is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and has been recognized by Who’s Who Worldwide.
Steven Garbade is in charge of the Desktop, Server, Network, and Telecommunications infrastructure and support, as well as Technical Support. Mr. Garbade has become a skilled professional during his 22-year career and has talents in IT strategy, IT solutions, organizational design and restructuring, new product and technology evaluation, and process improvement. Before joining eInstruction in 2010 as Director of Information Technology, he held director-level positions at companies that include University of Phoenix, Limelight Networks, and Saras Education. Mr. Garbade earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island and a M.S. in Computer Information Systems from University of Phoenix. He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
Eric Rohy is responsible for the direction and leadership of product management for eInstruction's family of products and services. He came to eInstruction in 2011 with more than 15 years of experience in product management across dozens of education and enterprise solutions. Prior to eInstruction, Mr. Rohy was responsible for product management and marketing at Scantron Corporation. Before that, he held product leadership roles at Websense Corporation. He has an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia's Darden School and a B.A. in Computer Science from Rice University.
Patrice Ulles brings eInstruction's high-value solutions to the market outside of the Americas. Through his work, Mr. Ulles builds strategic business relationships and enables customers to discover success in the education market and government sector across APAC (Asia and Pacific) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). To improve service and get eInstruction closer to its partners, for the last five years, Mr. Ulles has successfully managed the Paris eInstruction office and staff to cover and support the EMEA and APAC regions. He has created a team of skilled personnel to help him drive business further. Prior to eInstruction, Mr. Ulles worked for more than 15 years for companies that include GTCO CalComp and Interwrite Learning. He was responsible for successfully building and maintaining the customer base through both direct and partner sales. Both companies later merged with eInstruction. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Université Paris-XIII, he continued his education with two years in a master specialization in Management of Industrial Process program.
Xeth Waxman is responsible for developing eInstruction’s global technology roadmap and providing direction and leadership of eInstruction's engineering teams, which design and develop the company's hardware, software, and app products. Mr. Waxman also oversees the QA process and documentation teams. Mr. Waxman has been with eInstruction since 2008 and has 18 years’ experience in software engineering, in hands-on, management, and executive roles. Prior to his career in software engineering, he was an Airborne Paratrooper for the United States Army's elite XVIII Airborne Corps. He has a B.S. in Computer Science from University of Phoenix.
