Position Summary

 The Software Quality Analyst plays a critical role in the development of  eInstruction products through test planning, test execution, and the identification and documenting of defects.  Analysts lead small to medium projects and assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of products.  SQA’s are expected to be determined defect finders and disciplined in their documentation.  SQA’s are self-motivated individuals who are driven by the desire to release products of the highest quality to our customers.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will be an integral part in testing and maintaining the quality of the product. Focus areas will include:

• Development and maintenance of test documents and test cases
• Execute rigid and exploratory manual testing
• Write and maintain automated test scripts
• Oversee minor products and projects

Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Software development and testing experience
• Experience with VMWare
• Proficiency with Windows 7, Vista and Windows XP
• Basic PC proficiency
• Familiarity with Mac OS X and Safari
• Basic understanding of testing types and approaches to software testing
• Familiarity with modern classroom environments
• Passion for creating digital graphics, web applications, and playing PC games a plus

Requirements:

• A critical eye for software quality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Interest in a career in software development
• Familiarity with MS Excel and MS Word
• Detail oriented
• Experience with Microsoft operating systems
• Determination in identifying and documenting defects

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Quality Assurance experience
