Position Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for all aspects of managing the assigned publisher accounts with ongoing responsibility for relationship building, and recognizing sales and partnership opportunities for growing revenue.
Day to day responsibilities include coordinating activities needed to complete software applications for major educational publishers. The position requires coordination with external customers as well as responsibility for activities performed by internal staff members.

Serving as a liaison with publishers’ editors in scheduling and managing projects.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will independently manage the relationship with the publisher to maximize sales partnerships, ensure high quality products and maintain customer satisfaction. Focus areas will include:

Actively building the relationship through weekly calls and regular communication. Face to face meetings may occur throughout the year.

Staying abreast, through research and customer communication, of assigned publisher accounts’ business needs and proactively seeking opportunities for partnerships and revenue generating opportunities and communicating those leads to the appropriate sales channels.

Ownership of all aspects of annual revenue forecasting and tracking; as well as projecting and reporting actual monthly revenue for assigned publisher accounts.

Managing the total coordination of each project, including the quality control of the end user software product. Gathering requirements, negotiating timing of deliverables and pricing to ensure our ability to meet expectations successfully.

Reviewing project submission documents and questions/comments with the publisher.

Determining schedules (current and projected)—Establishing and managing timelines for project completion.

Preparation of bids and financial analysis of all completed projects.

Tracking costs and reporting totals for invoicing publisher. Entry of invoice information and generation of invoices for each project.

Identifying opportunities for improvement and increased cost efficiency in processes and procedures without sacrificing quality.

Suggesting enhancements for software and utilities

Managing one or more assistant project managers to ensure high level of customer satisfaction and high quality deliverables on time. Negotiating and managing project timelines with assistants.

Training—continual training via WebEx and off site as required. Training other employees within PSG and company to facilitate continued learning and growth of all.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Three to five years project management experience.

History of successful client relationship skills.

Ability to successfully manage multiple projects

Good communication skills

Be able to work in a team environment in a leadership role. Prior experience managing people in a production environment significant plus.

Software requirements: A thorough understanding of Word and Windows Explorer (copy/moving files).

Experience with Macintosh platform is a plus.
Education:
Equipment and Applications
PC and Apple computers and various software applications. General office environment in Ft. Wright, KY. Levels of stress may occur. Occasional travel may be required. No special physical demands required.
